Project Overview
The Northern Lights 2023 Expansion Project will allow Northern to accommodate requests from its customers for firm natural gas transportation capacity along Northern's existing pipeline system. To meet these requests, Northern is proposing to construct and operate the pipeline facilities described below.

Northern conducted three open houses March 9 and 10, 2022, as detailed in the following table. Invitations to the open houses were mailed to landowners and other stakeholders. Notices also were published in the local newspapers providing details on the open houses.

On March 28, 2022, Northern filed its section 7 application with the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission requesting project approval. Northern is anticipating that approval for the project, subject to Commission review, will occur in February 2023. The facilities are scheduled to be placed into service November 1, 2023.
