Project Overview
The Northern Lights 2023 Expansion Project will serve
Northern’s customers for firm natural gas transportation capacity along
Northern's existing pipeline system. To do so, Northern will construct and
operate the pipeline facilities described below.

On March 28, 2022, Northern filed its section 7
application with the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission requesting project
approval in February 2023. However, the project approval was delayed until
September 25, 2023. The Sierra Club requested rehearing of the commission’s
approval, and the request was denied. In-service is now planned for November 1,
2024.
