Request for Operator Choice

This form will allow Northern Operators the choice of Active Confirmation, Passive Confirmation, or Confirmation by Exception. Please fill out this form and fax to (402) 548-5280.

Three choices for confirming at a location are offered: (1) Passive Confirmation, (2) Active Confirmation and (3) Confirmation by Exception.

Passive Confirmation (NAESB Explicit)	The operator or agent for a location actively confirms nominations at all locations in the Timely cycle. If a confirmation is not received for the current Gas Day’s Timely cycle, the Timely cycle scheduled quantity from the previous Gas Day will be used. The Operator is not required to confirm during the Evening or Intraday cycles. The scheduled quantity from the previous cycle will be the quantity confirmed for each subsequent cycle.
Active Confirmation (Northern Defined)	The operator or agent for a location actively confirms all nominations at all locations during all cycles. If a confirmation is not received for the current Gas Day’s Timely cycle, the Timely cycle scheduled quantity from the previous Gas Day will be used. If a confirmation is not received for the current Gas Day’s Evening or Intraday cycles, the previous cycle’s scheduled quantity will be used.
Confirmation by Exception (NAESB CBE)	Northern will automatically confirm ALL NOMINATIONS for the operator or the agent at the specified location. All confirmed quantities will equal Northern’s preliminary scheduled quantities for all cycles.

Operators will be able to change any confirmation that is automatically confirmed by Northern during any cycle. Any manual change made by the operator will remain in place for the entire Gas Day.

Operator or agent designation of the Operator Choice may be changed on a monthly basis by written notice two business days prior to the beginning of the month.
