Northern Natural
Gas recently filed a petition with the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission
seeking a limited waiver of Section 57 of its tariff. The petition requested
authorization to allow Northern to return to customers credits for the Daily
Delivery Variance Charges (DDVC) collected during the 2025-2026 winter season
using the interim settlement rates, with the balance of the DDVC charges refunded
to customers upon Commission approval of the pending settlement.



On June 26, 2026,
the Commission denied that request and issued an order granting a limited
waiver to delay distribution of DDVC credits until a final order on the pending
settlement is issued. Consistent with the Commission's order, DDVC refund
credits will be issued to customers following the Commission's final action on
the settlement.
