On July 31, 2025, the Federal
Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) issued an order on Northern’s section 4
rate case filed July 1, 2025, in which, as expected, FERC suspended the rate
changes until January 1, 2026. FERC set for hearing all proposed
changes Northern made to its tariff as well as the issues raised in the
protests to Northern's rate case filing. The date of the hearing and other
procedural deadlines will be established following a prehearing conference.
