| At Northern, safe performance is a condition of employment for contractors as well as employees. Before establishing a contract with Northern, contractor safety performance is reviewed and must meet Northern's standards. Once a contract is awarded and prior to beginning work at any Northern facility, contractor personnel must undergo a safety orientation that describes the company's expectations and many of the safety program requirements.
